Raindrop Within
As I lie upon the grass
The cold hard ground beneath
I look up to the cloudy sky
And the the crow perched high above
Pearly raindrops begin to fall
But I shall not make a move
For let it fall unto my face
And cleanse my very soul
It chills me to the bones
And sweeps out my pounding heart
Clear my brain of selfish thoughts
Make me a crystal person
Let me be the wholeness
And beauty in each drop
Coat the world with new life
Give it what it needs
And when the rain has slowed
Come almost completely to a stop
I look up to the cloudy sky
The cold hard ground beneath
And the crow perched high above
Looks at me and I see
That we all with hold a raindrop
Deep inside ourselves
I feel it now within me
It's beauty is so pure
And I look to the now empty tree
Each branch coated with drops of rain
As I lie upon the grass
