Rainbows filled my mind

   Snapshots of a gentler time
     rainbows filled my mind
   Freshwater streams, nature unsullied
     Faces helpful, eager, kind

   Page after page, endearing smiles
     teeth all perfectly aligned
No hint of what's to come
     ~ navigating blind

Unfortunately on this earth we move past rainbows and kindness into the abyss but we look up and know who will restore our fortunes. Be blessed.

Let us stay out of the abyss... Interesting that Ethiopia used to be 'Abyssinia' ''til about 1960 or so, if memory serves me correctly... Hmmmm. ~ Dark places, gw

I miss those times as well. I have found some ways to re - create them. A smile begets a smile. No choice but to keep on navigating. Best, SuZ
