Rainbow In the Night
Iris touched of dreamy light
filtering past grey's darker side
of sorrows home where rain abides
Thou whispered hope hung in the sky
Deeper driven and reached inside
a hopeless place my heart may hide
where by your radiant beam remind
all storms do pass in form of time
Oh in gentle wonder you bridge
the path where heaven and earth are hinged
Inflecting all we feel beside
the glory of your presence and pride
Soft and mild or vibrant glow
O're water, fields or mountain snow
tis' such peace thou immeasurable hope
endowed in the essence of a rainbow
How you fill my troubled soul
with calm as I in awe behold
no matter my hurry my pace will slow
remembering the one whom you enthrone
Seven traveling hues each time
kissing rain and light
reminding eyes that cry shall shine
but you'll never see a rainbow in the night
Hold on, hold tight
we lose some battles amidst the fight
of this one thing never lose sight...
there's a rainbow residing in every eye given life!
