Rainbow Dreams 'The Cold Dark Truth'
Lazy moon winks golden reflections of melting black sunshine
yearning it's desire against the blue evening sky.
Smiling widely, a rainbow appears like magic before my eyes,
each beautiful color shining like the jeweled tears it cries.
Red lips and dusk's royal blue cheeks, gleam as they pass by
greeting the night, they're pure delight, against the blazing skyline.
In vivid intensity my bewildered mind watches in perplexing delight,
confused by what I think is real and what just can't be right.
All to soon I hear the stars as they scurry through the night
creating flames that burn the rainbow colors from my sight.
In my mind the darkness whispers words of screaming fright.
Devoid of thought the moon dissolves to a dot of fading light.
Longing release from this awful sight, my eyes I open wide
So close to me, as I'm coming home, my sacrament by my side,
dot on square just lying there, I place it on my tongue.
