This is a great first attempt - well done, I can see it all now. :) also, the modern haiku need not be a strict 5/7/5, it can be anyway as long as it does not go over 17 syllables. :) Kristin

Robin, you are a natural at this, nice 5-7-5 flow. I enjoyed it, great imagery. You painted a lovely picture with a few amount of words. You are as good as the Japanese Masters of haiku Buson, Basho, Issa, and Shiki.
