Rain, Rain, Rain

Rain, rain, rain will it wash our sins away? Wasn’t there a hillside there the other day? Huddled in our houses hiding from the wet. Why does it keep on falling, its wet as it can get. Reading about Australia, flooded and yet so dry. Water and fire, they keep falling from the sky. Where is that stone carved… with how it should be? Soon we’ll hear knocking on our door the crashing of the sea. Oh so filled is my soul reading of the sorrow. Sadness is the only picture, when looking at tomorrow. Pastoral memories of a scene… horses gallop through the hay. Staring at my past for they are from visions of yesterday. So to you the children we truly must apologize. We should never have walked that path built on all those lies. Dashing in our madness, chasing that made up dream. Money was the catalyst of mankind’s worthless scheme. If I had it all I couldn’t another day. So I guess it is quite worthless what more can I say…nothing.

I've heard all about the excessive rain you have been getting down under. You describe everything quite well in this offering.

Nice thoughts you have penned on the recent tragedy in Australia where rain wrought havoc, Gregory. Happy New year.
