Rain In the Sun

The morning started off with a bang with the noisy traffic speeding bountifully along, the early morning drivers shouting from their cars about the order and the disorder, while the loud horns continue to bellow in the street, the thundering sounds resonated all around forcing the daylight out of me. The early morning birds stand in the tree top singing a somber tune; its melancholy voice beats in the air with a profound message that was not clear; I forced my ears to listen to it, but the waves keep screaming above it, drowning out the singing birds sound and so the mating began. The sun burst over the hill sending rays of hopes in the sky, spilling its passion upon the earth while enthusiasm rolls in the dirt. A sudden laughter came out of nowhere, causing the people to fling their hands up in the air, they all got into a laughing fit. I esquire what it was about but they respond to me with a shout and so I had my doubt. I long for the days when I can find that joyful rhythm in life again to be with the people that you meet, go shopping in the street and have picnic under the tree. I long for the days when I will meet with my good old friends and start my lecture at the university again; I can see those eager eyes willing to learn and their heart ready to absorb the passion from the start. I long for the days when life will take on a new meaning again. I am ready to go but they will not stop this promiscuous show; I am ready to roll the dice and prepare for that long sacrifice; hands on deck, shoes in tack and the deer is running around the track and the wind is going around in circle. I can feel your hands moving in front of me and the pen completing the final signature; I breathe a sigh of relief when I looked at the board, the number were breaking through the roof and the evidence was more than proof. People start gathering around shaking their calabash around and around and the carnival begins. A crowd descends in the street dancing to the rhythm of my heart beat and the celebration spread throughout the town erasing the somber mood and dole some frown and ushered in a nourishing feeling.
