Notes About The Poem

Rain In Mexico

Skies filled with darkening clouds,
drops like water balloons fall without warning.
Thunder, lightning, rain,
sudden, unexpected, scary,
wash away the veil of dry dust.
In flashes of light roses lift their heads
thirsting, bathing, drinking in life.
Vibrant colors, the colors of Mexico,
cleansed of powdery grey.
