Rain Drop On a Rose

Rain drop on a rose,
such a smell it brings
my way.

Taking pictures
with my mind,
to store forever.

Clouds over head,
tells me more rain
will fall before it's
over.

As I head for cover,
under a pine tree,
the rain begins to
fall into a heavy
down pour,

another fragrance
touches my weary soul,
the rain mixed with
the pine tree sends,

me into an hypnotic state,
I sit here wondering
when rain will stop,

the forest is such a place
to be when you want to
think things over, so
rain keep falling.

The rain has not let up in my neck of the woods for quite a while! Goes so well with a pen and paper though! Solid work! ~JSLambert

I know that smell. It's almost primordial. "Back to Nature," eh? Love, Dave
