Rain Drop

Because art is a raindrop, it spreads ripples across desserts where storms cracked dry the hopes of my people.

Because art is a raindrop, the seeds my ancestors hid deep beneath the blackness of shelter will germinate once again.

Because art is a raindrop the walls of my tin house feed a powerful tune to the chorus that longs for freedom.

Because art is a raindrop the young feet of the stubborn future will dance in truimph where puddles lay.

Because art is a raindrop the tyranny of scum hiding in plain sight will wash away leaving behind the pureness truth & beauty.

Because art is a raindrop we will come as one and extend our hands to hug the heavens.

Because art is a raindrop, because in art the rains will drop, let no man dampen the relief this dropping rain seeks to bring to me and you
