Rain

RAIN

Rain
forecast 
for today
farm land thirsty
hoping forecast right
to satisfy parched earth
when crops can return to green 
farmers will then be able to reap
so bread will once again be kneaded
and all will be giving thanks for the rain.
the farmer hopes for other good seasons
for the farm to gain profit not loss
cattle and horses will be fed
storing hay in a hay stack
sheep contented grazing
the farm flourishing
with summer days
but also
needing 
rain.
