Rain

Softly I hear the whisper of raindrops,
Their rhythm mirroring that of my tears.
Slowly dropping; one, two, three, four.
Each one the story of a painful year.

As these tears flow down my cheeks,
These stories will remain untold.
My tears mingle with the rain;
Both unforgiving in their silence.

your words scream so much sadness and pain. your poems have a lot of comparison to rain. but remember sometimes rain washes away the pain. peace and love, njeri.
