Rain

Every falling drop
from the sky
knows it will end up
there once more

Every salty tear
wiped from the face
knows that it wasn't the last

But do you know
just who you are
that you create
your own destiny

Without darkness you wouldn't see
the stars that shine
they wouldn't drive you to explore

Every falling drop of rain
ends up in the sea to be served up
on a wave to a distant shore.

I particularly like the line "Without darkness you wouldn't see/the stars that shine" Great symbolism.
