Rain
The rain fell on the trees and buildings
Of a lonely city.
I sat and watched hundreds of men, women, and children
Walk like robots
Never connecting.
Then a tiny speck of blue sky came out of hiding
A tiny child laughed
One by one people began to smile
And in an instant
The city was transformed.
