Rain

I like the rain
And its effortless thoughts
That plunk down on plastic furniture

Sleeping cars
Grimacing pedestrians
Interrupting your Sunday hair

And how we scatter away
In our silly ways, like ducks on a pond
Instead of drinking
The world
