Rain

I sit here thinking alone in the rain, thinking of my sorrow, misery, and pain. I sit here listening to the thunder crashing down, knowing my life is better when you’re around. As I sit here watching the storm roll on, all I think about is you, and how you are gone. As I look at the dark clouds above, I sit here and wonder who you’re thinking of. It’s like the sky is crying and I am too, thinking of how I’m missing you. I miss your hugs and gentle touch, and the way you tell me you care for me so much. I miss the way you kiss me and make me feel, I hope when you come back your feelings are still real. Now as I look up at the cloudless sky above, I’m thinking of you, and I know I’m in love.

Hello Ron, You did this poem on a cruise ship! Well why not. it is as good as any placed to create a poem. It must have been hard on both of you to be apart . O)h! Carolyn had been transferred to another ship to be a doctor there. I wonder why she did not get the transffer when she got to shore. i am just wondering. It ixs nice to watch the rain storm on a ship. I will . You also enjoy your day. Your Friend, Darlene/

Hi Darlene, this was written...or rather started...on a cruise ship Carolyn had been working on. She had been transferred to another ship and I had to stay on board until we returned to the ship's home port where my truck was parked. It is just what I was feeling at the time watching a Caribbean rainstorm we were sailing through. Have a great day! Ron
