rain pitter-patters 'pon umbrella which turns the hottest noon-day sun.... soft sand, gentle waves pamper small aching feet

Sara, to answer your question regarding bores in my poem some may ultimately adjust their behaviour when ostracised. Your tanka oozes charm, a very visual imagery, and immaculate plot Howard

Howard, most would say it was the other way around and it was the other people's fault for doing the ostracizing. I am sure though that some would change if they could. Sara K

Your poem is excellent for the contest Sara my friend - pitter patter rain is what we have at present, so enjoyable especially as our temperature last week went up to 36, unbearable. Be well, love and hugs Jennifer.

Wonderful that you had showers to cool things down. I love the summer rain that brings in a cooling period to break up the sometimes-horrible heat of summer. Thank for the visit, Jennifer. I appreciate the visit. Sara K
