Rain

If only we could do it all again,...

       Drive down Highway 1,
                                on that day in the rain...

    Stop and have lunch at the small cafe,...
           shake off our wet jackets, eat our chowder,
                                                           warm ourselves....

    Stare out the foggy windows,...
             watching the tourists running for shelter,....
  
   I would smile more, 
       not complain that our day had been spoiled by the rain....

             Instead, I would rejoice, and be glad
                   to have spent such a fine day with you

aww a sweet litle poem, it is true when we are with loved ones even though it rains the sun still shines it being together that makes it special quality time together, thanks for your kind comments on my poetry God bless from diane

Beautiful write here. There are lots of days I would do over just for a chance to take back my nitpicking ... smile ... sometimes its hard to be more loving but hopefully I'll get other opportunites! Great message here, Carrie !!
