rain poured, the dwy slowly
passed by, sunlight broke....
ducks returned to pond's deep depths
blustery breeze whipped fallen
leaves, ushering in north air
ice spewed, earth shivers
sunlight's welcomed warmth
by day, hibernation dens
huddling conserves heat by night
