Raging Reality

Raging Reality

Love lost cannot find the freshness it once knew.
Haunting past memories absorb sanity.
Spellbound, last illusions, and joys say, “adieu.”
Flickering dreams blanket deaths black reality.

Haunting past memories absorb sanity.
Reality grips hate’s raging encasement.
Flickering dreams blanket deaths black reality.
Final mockery proclaims a new standard.

Haunting past memories absorb sanity.
Spellbound, last illusions, and joys say, “adieu.”
Flickering dreams blanket deaths black reality.
Love lost cannot find the freshness it once knew.

Wow! This poem seems to almost jump off the page with impact. Repetition is hard to well and you made the most of it. This is one of your best poems. Best wishes in the contest. Thank you for your kind comment. Karen

The master of unique verse forms has given us a powerful pantoum! This form is difficult, but your poem is terrific and makes complete sense. You know I can relate to the way "haunting past memories" affect our sanity. Well done, my friend. It's so nice to see you posting again. Love, Carolyn

I like the way you developed this. This form seems hard to me not having done one yet. But you seem to have found the secret. rgds Charles
