Racing To Live

Who the hell do you think you are?
Roaring by me in your motor car;

Did you not see me standing there?
Or was it just you did not care?

Care to see the world around you;
Racing to no place like a fool;

The rat race you find yourself in,
Was not created by other men;

You alone are free to choose,
That which determines if you win or lose;

Remember your fables; the tortoise and hare;
Life is not just about getting there;

The journey is where the joy is hidden.
So sad these fools merely destination driven;
