RACING

Along the housetops
Along the frozen ground
Racing!
                   Racing!
In the invisible air
In the invisible nothingness
Racing! 
                    Racing!
Along the puckered skin
Through the surging veins
Racing!
                     Racing!
                                       And
To trace that nature-car down
Go with it!
                                       And
Round!                           
                                        And
Round!....................................................................

All’s quiet now
Eyes open
Just out-of-doors
Realization
Amazing!
How she and I went a
Racing!
Racing!
