Race To Succeed
Remembering dreams, that once held me captivated.
With time they became irreverent, a place,
Where youthful dreams, gently receded,
drowned,swallowed into the past.
A place where , the race to succeed , lost
for in the end there is no finish line.
Continuing the rat race, no long held, fascination
The inspiration that drove us, slowly,
fades into the past.
I prefer to sit and contemplate and age
Like the fine wine, age with grace.
Dreams push us, but reality wakes.
It depends where our tomorrow ends.
