R I P Rico
As I write this, I must confess
Rico Lafanta's was one of the best.
The limericks he thought of
He said more than he aught of
With a style of his own, he possessed
He had a swift mind,
His brain was hard to confine,
It went to places
Without any traces
Of malice of any kind
He was an intelligent bloke,
I like the truth he spoke
He was a good teacher
Without being a preacher
He made up intimate Jokes
He did not do this to offend,
Although some were hard to comprehend,
It gave us a chuckle
Although near the knuckle
A message to all they send
It upsets me greatly to say
This dear man passed away,
I'll never forget him
It was a privilege to have met him
His comments and limericks made my day.
