Quotes In the Sky Part 2

His take off, proceeded flawlessly
With just a bounce or two
While pulling back on the stick
He rose into the blue

Just minutes in his fateful flight
He imagined he was home
Not sitting in this canvas coffin
Flying all alone

But rather in his garden
His wife brings lemonade
His children sing a song for him
As they run and jump and play

A smile seemed to crease his face
His eye produced a tear
Forgetting that he was an ace
He dreamed of yesteryear

He wanted just to travel home
And see his loves once more
If he could turn this plane around
And fly it to their door

But duty called and so it was
He answered in a fashion
But never, forgot his other vows
Of Love and pain and passion

His grip relaxed upon the stick
His plane lost altitude
Briefly he was lost in time
When something broke the mood
