messy **** retentive
shy extrovert
dancing in the corner
that's me
a babbling bouquet 
of awe fits
and rage
and you'll have to compete
with the birds
for my attention
and sorry
without emotional impaction
I have no retention

A random pick but I'm glad I did Maureen. This brought a smile to my face for real. I'm happy you met your husband because I was the guy across the room doing the same thing you were doing in this poem lol. We would have never met, but for thanks to these poetry pages. The last line is a wonderful kicker lol turdus migratorus who?

LOL - this is so me, (except the extrovert - I am opposite - I love people, but I re-energize alone) ... you probably figured that out, though, ha! (Is my OCD showing?) Lovely write - good luck! I haven't written for this one yet ... my time has been not my own of late. <3

Love this little diddy Maureen! :) "...a babbling bouquet,of awe fits and rage, and you'll have to compete for my attention..." love these lines! (I love to sit in the summer and watch my birds, but of course with me people must compete with horses for my attention! ha ha) Have a lovely day :)

It's so frustrating! I'll try so hard, reciting over and over to no avail, unless I can attach to something from emotional memory or imbedded preconcussion. I had a friend crack in frustration as we were doing a crossword together when I repeatedly came to the same wrong answer, "that's my damage!" I exclaimed and with that the thought cycle was broken, an emotional impact LOL ;) Lovely day to you my friend!
