My Response:


I write poetry from my heart and soul,
my quill drips blood red like ruby wine.
I pen the history of my ancestors and my weather-stained life,
and believe true poets are of another realm, different
unique beings, we travel to the stars and beyond.
I am not afraid to face the decay in my existence,
and write of the deaths and sadness, and all my failures.
As a poet I like to explore the words of poets old,
and seek out their divine and sublime wisdom and imagination.
I cast away my tired soul to write, to dip my pen into the dark night,
revealing the beauty found in whispering meditations.

I cherish the ancients. They out wrote from the overflow.. their minds, their hearts.. could not hold emotions, and passions, that were spilling out.
