“The gift of quietness- its emptiness- grants fullness of an aura without sound.” by _Poet
My hearing has declined as I have aged, and quietness has graced my life in ways; especially when writing, it has staged an atmosphere that soothes during that phase. Was not till recently, I've come to learn of sounds that I have missed and hadn't heard- like squeaking floors, the wind- or to discern the pounding rain or chirping of each bird. My hearing aids now offer me this gift; I can decipher noise once lost to me. But now for sure, I choose my time to shift- remove them to enjoy a soundless spree. And in this space, my thoughts will not deplete; but with the gift of quietness, complete.
