Ahhh quietly misaligned! How deeply that speaks to my soul! As much as I would try shaking thoughts that bring earthquakes to my heart, I still remain silently resigned.. the cadence of what you've conveyed here is beyond describable in words as there's so much to feel and sink in rather than just read! Gosh! Very few poets leave me lost for words and officially, you are amongst them, dear David.. this is brilliance at its peak.. I really liked that ending with psychopath kind! Isn't that so true though? Jus wowwww... One of the most outstanding monokus I've ever read and you've inspired me to write one, it's been such a long time! This is surely and sincerely going in my FAVES ~ Such an honour to be able to read your thought-provoking poetry 💫💫✨✨

You’re way too kind Hiya, I do love Monoku’s, and would encourage everyone to write at least one, more so when a poem isn’t working out, (you know the type) They do take a little work, I have the basic concepts in my mind, then construct them as if they are word games or crossword puzzles, it’s a great feeling when they come together; unfortunately a lot of us do possess a silent resignation when gathering thoughts or emptying our minds just doesn’t cut it, I’m delighted you got the full meaning behind this one, the (psychopath line) is an equally important part of the equation, thanks so much for high praise, and Fave, I’m truly humbled, cheers David

The rhythm of your rhymes ~ and the depth of what youv conveyed, it feels like you understand how we work, sometimes, I tend to resign when overwhelmed, sometimes we need that, and to be a psychopath isnt always wrong, Aristotle said "no great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness" True! And most poets resonate with that. I think what youve said can be interpreted on so many levels! And one that I would like to touch is ~ how you started this monoku. Because, we write also to empty our mind, I absolutely loved this and will fave! I like such real thoughts poetically delivered sending you light always Pleasure reading

Heya Ink, I do have a general poetic understanding of how the mind works, but am far from a professional like Daniel below, resignation is a coping mechanism I’ve used myself, it can work on the short term, but drains hope from the individual if it becomes routine in their everyday life, psychopaths can be extremely useful and calm in overwhelming high risk situations, and make good balanced calls, unfortunately a small minority of them can become extremely callous and dangerous, I definitely go along with you and try empty my mind into a poem, they become more honest if not a little unhinged lol! Thanks so much for reading and understanding my Monokus, and of course for the light and fave, cheers David

Hello David, Okay, I felt such a strange tension, the desire to empty my mind, to scuttle my ceaseless machinery, set against the fear of what rises when I fail. I think the psyche is never truly still, only rearranged in emptiness. There is a fragile balance between resignation and awareness, the terror of realizing that our inner life can tilt, even slightly, toward something undefined. Defiantly a Davidian poem, sharp, unsettling, beautifully distilled. Blessings, Daniel

Thanks so much Daniel, you will know a lot more about the psychology behind the human mind than most people, and of course the list is not exhaustive, I just put together the tip of the iceberg, counterbalanced by a more disturbing underbelly if you like, Hey my first time to be called a Davidian! PS will be my compound, lol! I’ll steer clear of real world communes, they rarely end good, cheers David

Well, as you know I have marvelled at the friendly (self disclosed) psychopath@work. Their capacity for empathy & compassion (well, from the receiving individuals perspective) knew no bounds! It was great fun to quiz him when he advised he was a psychopath & he really wasn't troubled by it. He admitted being completely unmoved by any plight but was always aware of the way to handle an event to meet the set objective & it being more pleasant for the individual often was less bother for him 😊 I suppose it's a case of understanding what they care about 😊

Sounds like a very clinical approach from the friendly psychopath@work, the good thing is they don’t all have the urge to kill or cause pain to others, and can remain calm and collected in extremely difficult circumstances, I’m probably in the (resigned category) due to everyday desensitisation, coping mechanisms are needed in this life, so whatever works for the individual is ok with me, thanks so much for stopping by Laurentine, cheers David

Hello to you, David... it's been a while. My thoughts often gather too quickly, causing me to yell, "Disengage!" It prevents the rage of having a psychopathic mind. Happy to see you here and there. Well wishes for you, my loyal friend.

Heya Lin, it has been a while, I think it’s the quiet psychopaths that are sometimes the most dangerous, they would never try gather their thoughts or empty their minds, although they do have an empathy chip, it’s called mimicry 🙃, cheers David
