Quiet Night

I go out at night
When the quiet sets in
I gaze at the stars
And I glow within

Looking up for the window
Of heaven afar
Twinkling stars all I see
maybe just a glimpse of Mars

Waiting for someone
To steal me away
Not many words
Would he have to say

Just a note
Oh, precious words
To seep into my heart
Flying high, like the birds
