Quiet

I heard something good today
no big deal, it was simple,
but it was nice and gave me hope.

Then I wondered;
does the bad know about this?
Is it worried?

Because a little bit of good
with it's hope
can cancel a lot of bad.

Wars and crime and hate
are trumpeted loudly,
but you have to listen for the good.

That's why I like the quiet.

Hey to you, Bob! This is an interesting piece, Bob...the quiet does have its own appeal. The soundlessness...the silence... perhaps a good time to connect? "War and crime and hate" make loud noises...but often make no sense. I imagine beneath all this ruckus, the gentle hearts cry out for this 'quiet'. This one's a mind probe...thank you for sharing this with us! :) God bless you and yours..love to you, Mikki
