Questions Without Answers
I find myself at a quandary,
A hopeless dead-end alley.
I sit, I think, I wait, I despair,
I rack my brain for remembrance.
I search seas and find nothing.
I am a sailor without stars,
An explorer without a compass,
A globe without a north.
Blank and lost I sit,
Hoping to remember.
I had it once, not long ago.
It was all there and answers flowed.
But still I sit here, thinking, thinking,
While the clock keeps on ticking, ticking.
Look at questions, remember the answers.
Search and strain, I comb my mind,
Remember, remember, it was all just there!
Round and repeat, search and repeat,
Over, and over, and over.
Time will run out, the answers will not come,
The fat lady is here, her song is sung.
