Questions

Deeper than a feeling a question resonates within. The thought of where the start of self sacrificing all begins. From the heart, where all parts of love is shown? From the mind, where thoughtfulness is grown? From the touch, we share each and every day? From the passion, we share in love, work or play? Growing ever tired, old and now slow as time passes by this question I need an answer for. Did anyone ever achieve from it and could have I given more?

Ah, a wonderful poem of introspection. My answer is: hopefully we have gained a little wisdom and love of self as well as others. When it comes to giving, anyone with a cheerful heart always feels as if they could've given more. We all search for that peace of mind that comes with the understanding of why are we here? Great write, Sharon and very deep!

Hello Sharon!! I saw your wonderful write here and dropped by. I certainly agree with Jerry's comment and the others as well. I turn "65" this year in October. Therefore, I do see and fully appreciate what you've said with this poem. I hope my writings (Poetry and Prose) can be my ultimate gifts to others, to help spur them on in becoming interested in literature in general.) (I was away since from Poetry Soup for a while so I could work on prose writes for Book Two. ("7") Cheers and Best, Gary

So very true Jerry. Things look so different as we get older and all we can do is hope we have been the best to everyone we could be and leave the path of example as a cherished memory as well. Thank you for the awesome reply. God Bless and take care Jerry. Will be stopping by to read soon and see what you have been up to, ha, ha, ha. : ) Sharon

You ponder and probe for answers, Sharon. In my case I believe that I have sacrificed more for others than for myself! Yet I still think that I could have done more. ~ Regards // paul

Yes, I feel we never really accept how much we truly give but I agree that I always felt and feel I could have done or could do more. I am hoping it is because by (Other's examples) through Christ there is always room for giving more. Thank you for your awesome response and have a blessed day Paul. : ) Sharon

wow, what great questions to ask oneself. This reminds me of a church song I grew up with which said, "Have I done any good in the world today?"
