Questions
You left a bareness full of questions,
A sea of queries, a ghastly world.
How to keep going without your guidance?
How to keep fighting with half a soul?
Where are the answers to all my queries?
Where are your dreams, where are your plans?
Who will fulfil your hopes and projects?
Who will replace your helping hand?
Who will supplant your loving cuddles?
Who will provide your blind support?
Who will I call when life struggles?
Who will be proud when I stand tall?
Your voice in my memory
stabs like a sword.
Your smile in our portraits
hurts even more.
I am alive, yet not living,
in a house you will not see.
I keep writing tales and stories
that you will never get to read.
If I found any peace in faith,
in feeble pledges, a better place.
If I believed in souls' rebirth,
forever linked in time and space.
If I could overcome this fear,
if you could send a tiny sign.
Just to know that you are still near,
just to know that you are fine.
