Quest
I sit watching, waiting, my heart seems so numb
What I am asking for I don’t know, I seem dumb
Is it asked for ever? Those in the slum or dump
I know don’t, it’s all for the glory of your name
My thoughts, visions and priorities exclude fame
The next person is definitely to you not the same
So what then is it, this feeling I’m sure you put in me
Quest or mission is my naming of whatever this is
The magnitude of it does not hit at once but even then
My thoughts center, hovering trying to figure out when
Will I soon know the mysteries? Have something to pen?
At this point I am waiting, thinking, searching and wanting.
My mind plays tricks on me some thoughts come taunting.
Soon in the near future it will happen I know. That something,
Now as I wait, I wonder and ponder, should I be preparing?
