Quenching Thirst

QUENCHING THIRST Rain stops and Sun shines, breeze blows. Rows of trees swing reckless branches. Bunches of flowers getting dry. Descry one rain drop on a bud. Bird tries to put its beak to dip, sips the drop quenching thirst in full. Cool is climate, clear cloudless sky. High up flies bird, cannot refrain. 11/22/18 Note. The last word of each line rhymes with the first word of next line. Last word of last line rhymes with first word of first line. 'Best Free Verse Poem, Nov. 2018' Contest by Laura Loo
