Quattro Mani

If ever
You walk Cable beach
Say hello
To a girl I know
She’ll be sitting there
Come sunset
Under a wondrous sky
That will make you believe
In Gods and magic
And love too
If you gaze to long
Into her hazel eyes
You’ll know her
By how her auburn hair
Shines golden
In the evening air
It will flow across her body
Hiding her curves and graces
As ocean currents do
Upon a reef
Her demure
Will be of coyness
Her being
Pure innocence
And when you talk with her
It will seem
You are playing a piano
Together
( Ludovico Einaudi, Oltremare )
In harmony
As one
A sad love
You won’t notice
The incoming tide
And then
With one flip
From her flipper
She’ll be gone
Into the pearl farms beyond
And you
Will walk Cable beach again
In the evenings
Come sunset and cyclone
Just to talk again
With Quattro mani
