Pythagoras

Pythagoras

Pythagoras
eschewed plethoras;
believed music of the spheres
was played by mathematical gears.

Note: Pythagoras is believed to have devised the doctrine of musica universalis which is a philosophical concept that regards proportions in the movements of celestial bodies—the Sun, Moon, and planets—as a form of music.
