Puzzle

Pine needles scatter across the grass
Mushrooms show their faces too
The trees applause with their colors,
in the cool, refreshing evening air
My mind can think a million thoughts
      - but what I see grounds me -
Pieces of nature create a puzzle
That shows off a beautiful scene
There is no reason to figure things out,
or to find a way to defend myself
Because, it is all here looking at me
In my purpose, no-one has to see

Hello Heidi, Very hauntingly beautiful write. Finding a place in nature means never being truly alone. Putting the puzzle together, well that's for each of us to discover. I hope this day is good to you. -Richard

Thought provoking lines and ideal perspective, I believe. This poem was a joy to read, it has a unique flavor to it, if you will. (trees applause or applaud.) Poetry hugs ... CayCay
