Put To The Test
Why is it so easy, to fall back to our old ways,
when we have been walking in the light, for so many day’s.
Trying to love, to forgive, and show mercy you see,
in a world where you can be, how you want to be.
Around us, is so much hate, hurt, anger and pain,
you can begin to feel like, there is nothing to gain.
When the love in your heart, is being put to the test,
when you feel like you, have given your best.
To turn and get angry you see,
to let those words of death, come from you and me.
It’s so easy to be, what we are around each day,
that’s why it’s so easy, to fall back to our old way.
When people with you, just want to argue and fight,
there words of hatred, begin to dim our light.
We are all living, in the same darkness you see,
and it eats daily at us, no matter who we be.
But, if we stick it out, we stand in our light,
against our own thoughts, feelings and emotions we fight.
For we are only responsible, for ourselves you see,
in this, there is nothing to justify, you or me.
For us to quit hating, and spreading death,
is to be led by Gods Spirit, His living breath.
To come out of our darkness, and to be different you see,
is easier said than done, by you and me.
Those who do, and if they shall endure till the end, this saying is true,
through all their falls, and short comings, the Spirit of Truth, guides them through.
They shall rise again to live in His Light,
against this darkness no more, will they have to fight.
