Put In the Punctuation

Put in the Punctuation

Put in the punctuation
Wherever you would like
To pause the words and keep them
From overflowing your mind's dike

To organize your thinking
To better understand
The meaning of my poetry
Punctuation lacking is my brand

Meaning can change greatly
With Commas periods and such
The variety of what words say
With punctuation changes much

Let your mind run rampant
As you read my poetry
And if you need to punctuate
You may do it it is free

I leave these few words with you
Punctuate them as you will
A group of baboons a congress
As the men upon the hill

I have to admit, the title caught my eye. Reading your poems without punctuation is quite fascinating for me. In fairness, the lack of punctuation (for me at least) allowed me to read through your lines more thoroughly (since I had to read them more slowly in my mind and you're right, it could lead to a different level of organization.Like what I said, Fascinating. I like the concept of giving your readers free reign to punctuate your poems in their minds.Very witty last stanza. Thanks for this!

Wala na, Thanks for the extended comment. You totally get the reasoning I have for not putting in punctuation. Thoughful reading produces insight. Poems should be what you think of them along with what the author thought to write them. We're alike yet different. thanks again for your comments.
