Put Away Your Screen Today

Things that make me happy
bring a smile or tears of joy
they have no monetary value
sweet gifts for every girl and boy

So take off all those blinkers
Let the light shine in
Put away your screen today
And you’ll see what I mean

To see a spider spin a web
a bee sip nectar for his queen
a fledging taking his first flight
mother moon on the clearest night

To hear a blackbird sing his song
for he will sing it all day long
the sea her tides they come and go
relax and watch her ebb and flow

The morning sky the sun arising
with hues that take your breath away
And as she sets ~ a picture painted
Each night each day a different way

The joy I get to see the moon
her crescent exquisite
her fullness divine
she fills up my heart
she clears out my mind

What joy to see a sky full of stars
With Jupiter ~ Venus ~ Saturn and Mars

So open your eyes
as you gaze to the sky
You may even see
ISS passing by

Open your mind ~ let your soul soar
In this wonderful world there is oh so much more…

You have touched upon so many enchanting reasons to be outdoors, Ann. Your love of celestial magic is on full display. Yet, here I am looking at a screen... I'm a hypocrite! Love this, congrats on your win ~ John

Haha me too... but as long as we spend more time outside looking skyward, then a little screen time is allowed, otherwise how would we communicate with each other! Thanks John for your great comments. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

That's great advice Ann, soup is my only vice, gave up Facebook a long time ago. There is so much out there to see, the wonders of nature, so easy to get bogged down looking at a screen. Not much hope of seeing ISS at the moment lol. Tom

I wrote this today to cheer myself up, so drizzly and grey my muse and I went faraway ~ haha... ISS not a chance! Thank you my friend for your continued support and lets hope the sun makes an appearance soon. With kindest thoughts Ann xx
