Pursuit

Happiness is not a thing That can be guaranteed. Satisfaction is, we’re told In words we hear or read. But in that famous document Declaring we were free, Pursuit of happiness was writ, With life and liberty. Yet finding what we want Has no relation to pursuing, For joy’s elusive and the search Might lead to our ungluing. The signers of the Declaration Surely were astute When they didn’t grant us happiness, But only its pursuit.

Each time a person sit's to write, it's to pursue that solemn right. To have the page speak from an age and communicate in light. But those of us who try our hand to make words dance and sing. Know all too well it is God's hand that make's the truth bell ring. This is an exceptional write ilene. Blessed. Peace. :)

haha, that last part is priceless!! A pursuit harder and harder to come by for some folks!! Yet thinking back on how hard times were in the old days, we truly are gifted with good lives right now.

Brecht said "The right to happiness is fundamental". On the other side of the spectrum. Solzynehtsin said something to the effect that you can be as a happy as you choose to be. Hard to find happiness- as you point out in this land we are granted the pursuit - not the prize. Nice job here! Peace and love Matthew Anish
