Notes About The Poem

My thanks to Kevin Shaw as it was his contest theme Purple that set the muse to writing.  Not the proper form for the contest.

Purple Truth

There is a tenderness to it
this wound – aching
more from memory – than pain
the soft purple truth
of a sunset
lingering.

Oh, simply gorgeous write, John, and such a wonderful direction to take the theme in ... original, fresh, and beautifully poignant! Love it! :-)

you showed me a different kind of purple--one that is totally languid, wrenching... how beautiful, john... huggs
