Purple Pondering

I’m at the age where
I’ve grown really long hair
And I don’t denim care
That the trend is to cut it

No longer wearing high heels
Just for a flex or a thrill
More about how my feet feel
And they don’t love it

I don’t have many pink plans
Flying by seat of peach pants
Keeping my praying hands
I am blessed with contentment

Becoming a red recluse
Enjoying sandy solitude
Embracing my various moods
Without any raspberry resentment

I wonder of me what they say
Am I now an old onyx maid
Because there’s no wedding day
It tickles me pink to think

That my out of wedlock birth
Gave my life priceless worth
Despite sermon of online church
I entertain purple pondering

It's not until we get older and wiser that we follow a path that we're comfortable and happy with. Doing what you want to do and not following any crowd, always be true to yourself, answerable to know one. Quite a powerful verse Karen. I'm not long back from Spain so I've been out of the loop. Hope you're okay. Tom

Dear Karen, how bold, playful, and wonderfully unapologetic. I love how your rhythm carries both wisdom and wit, mixing colors into a life fully engaged. There’s such power in owning your journey. May your purple pondering always lead to joy. Loved this!

In youth I adopted the view beauty hurts. In my maturity I realize being comfortable in one’s skin is what truly makes you beautiful! God bless you as well!
