Purple Fountain

Reaching in the frigid cold Searching for a hand to hold To give me hope To give me strength In the hallows of my mind My psyche unwinds Diving in black water Trying not to falter Flirting with disaster The craving of fame starts to fester Sometimes feeling like a jester Dressing up as Uncle Fester I know there's nothing to fear But fear itself Yet still I fear of losing Everything my heart holds dear Subjecting the light To gray skies of doubt & deprecation I need the strength to fight The feeling of gravitation towards agitation Counting stars On the roof of a car My heart ajar My mind afar Running in bouts of thunder Lost in childish wonder Keeping score to all that sores My heart is numb from social uproar Indignity & shame Leaves us to rebel To shout it on the mountain To drown the red/blue powers that be In a violet fountain.
