Purity Poisoned

How badly I want a hand to hold Lay together for hours opening our souls Stealing kisses, sneaking touches Laugh about things others will never understand How badly I miss the little boy Full of passion laughter and dreams I turned him into a man ill from a poison Who quietly hides himself Guarded and distant Who laughs through a liquor grin Until the poison seeps so deep He falls down and cries away the night So pure and innocent with true intents Somehow along the line He became a broken sinner
