Puppy Love

The girl who cringed when a boy sat too close to her, now realize something new is happening. Her heart beats like a drum. Her stomach does flips. All this just because he walks past her. These teen years come too soon. Puppy love changes a little tomboy into a darling princess. She could date the best looking guys in school. One thing is certain though, the best looking, is not necessarily the best boyfriend. So often love is fluttering through her veins. She does not realize the hold he has on her. He will surely be the one she marries. Time, heartache and tears teach even a young girl that those first loves will just be a memory, some good, some bad.

So nicely captured the feeling, Sister Virginia. It did bring back forgotten memories. God bless you.

Thank goodness for memories. Sometimes it is all we have, some good, some bad, but they are OUR memories.

I love your nostalgic heart. I just read your poem about sitting together at the dinner table, and then this one. You are certainly bringing back memories to me tonight. I miss the old days!

Would be nice to be a kid again and know what we know now, lol. I know I'd make many better choices. We perhaps wouldn't know what we do though had we not gone through life as it were. Thanks for your comment.

Ah, if only they taught teenagers in school how to distinguish pheromones from "love" . . . . .

It was bad enough when I was young but today my poem may not even apply. It's like there is no time to be a kid any longer. No time for holding hands or being friends. So sad. Thankyou for your input.
