PUNISHMENT
The king on the throne was always prone
to do justice in administration.
A complaint came
‘Last night a farmer has caught an intruder
who raped farmer’s wife.
The lady in frustration committed suicide.
What punishment should the king order?’
The king gave the strict verdict,
‘The scoundrel is to be beheaded.’
Next complaint came after a while.
‘The farmer has killed the trespasser,
but he was the prince.
Which punishment does the king order for farmer?
He has been brought to the court, tied in chain.’
The king ordered in firm quiet voice
‘Make the farmer free.’
