Pumpkin

There's pumpkin coffee, pumpkin bread, Pumpkin bagels, pumpkin spread, Pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pie, Pumpkin ice cream - my, oh, my! Pumpkin donuts, pumpkin beer, Pumpkin pancakes and, I fear, Soon there will be, oh my gosh, Pumpkin soap with which to wash. Everywhere's that pumpkin scent Reminding us what's evident - Summer's heeded its last call For pumpkin flavors herald fall.

I love al lrecipies tat use pumpkin! Sadly, most Americans eat it as pie or muffins. The French, however, are more inventive; they use it as a simple vegetable or a delicious mildly spicy soup. In our family it was customary to fill a seeded small pumpkin with a hamburg/pork mix flavored with diced onions and a few herbs and spices. It baked in a bain Marie until well cooked. Delicious. / M P.S. Did you forget pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin mousse?

Makes me glad I'm in the Uk or I'd feel pumpkined out lol:-) I've yet to try pumpkin pie (I'll have to come to the US to try that lol) but have had pumpkin soup which was surprisingly tasty:-) have a super week:-) hugs jan xx

I think pumpkins were responsible for that pop song, "Big Belly won't you please come home" as pumpkins do herald a season where plump bellies prepare for winter storms. Aloha! Rico
